Care instructions
The insert is made of brass. All designs have some form of surface treatment to avoid discoloration by water. However, plant juices can attack the surface, so it is important to wipe them off regularly. If you do this regularly, the surface stays nice. Fertilizers usually contain substances that make the paint brittle and the surface can be attacked and should therefore be avoided.
Should there be stains, they are difficult to remove because they are in the lacquer and not in the brass surface.
The entire vase should be washed by hand with ordinary detergent.
