What you need to consider when placing it outside is that the wick attracts moisture and can be destroyed, so bring the lantern inside if it starts to rain.

TenderFlame Signal Hill can only be used with the environmentally friendly and harmless fuel TenderFuel. TenderFuel is only intended for use with TenderFlame products.

One thing to keep in mind: if the wick comes into contact with water, sparks will fly from the flame until the wick is dry again. So it is important not to use this lantern outside in the rain and to bring it inside if it starts to rain.
